Yes, all accommodations have power.
Tentzebo's are powered using only the sun and use 1180 watts of solar array to charge 4 100ah lithium ion batteries (400ah total). Due to this type of a power system, electricity should be conserved as best as possible to ensure an endless supply of electricity. All components are safely visible, as we want to promote this technology, and it's environmental benefits! This gives you plenty of power for charging devices, phones, and normal functioning of the unit.
The Cottage has grid power, and is essentially endless.
Each Tent is outfitted with a heavy duty canvas tent featuring 1 x queen size bed and 2 x double mattresses. Please note bedding is not included.
Each Tent'zebo site includes a tent, gazebo with screen and privacy curtains. Within the gazebo is a full bathroom with toilet, shower and sink (hot and cold water), a kitchen area with double sink, patio furniture set, table, propane fire pit, BBQ, and stunning views! Hot water tank, water pump etc. are similar in style to a camper trailer (10 gallon hot water heater) so hot water isn't endless.
Yes, we offer free Wi-Fi in all of our rental units.
To prevent the risk of forest fire, we offer propane gas fire pits at each site. Propane is included.
Yes, as proud pet owners ourselves, your furry friends are welcome to join in the adventure!
No it is not. As we are not a heavily commercialized facility, this may be an issue if that is what you are looking for in a facility to spend your vacation at. Our facility focuses on a pristine natural private setting, with minimal "commercialized" activities/facilities other than the kids play area, beach/pier and kayaks/paddle-boat, walking trails, and stunning views/wildlife within the unique and historic 100 acre property. As this is a long term venture we plan on building over many years, we will invest in the facility as we receive suggestions from our guests on what they'd like to see into the future!
We are working towards this! Tent'zebos have been designed to accommodate wheelchairs in their construction, once we design the ramps we will be set to wheel! The Cottage is not wheel chair accessible by it's nature.
Yes, the beach area has direct access to Katepwa Lake! Please note the beach and swimming areas are unsupervised with no lifeguard on duty. Parent/Guardians are responsible for their child’s safety while enjoying the property. Signs are posted warning of this. Water quality advisories will be posted next to the pier to inform guests of any Saskatchewan Health Authority restrictions.
No, we are not located within the Provincial Park. A park pass is not required at Katepwa Point Provincial Park and there is no park entry fee while enjoying its attractions.
Yes we'd love for as many people as possible to enjoy the property! However, this is not a "party" facility. There are other venues that will tolerate this, but not ours. Due to the nature of tents (noise travels easily), and children and families staying as guests, we need to enforce this. Visiting is fine, but quiet time hours will need to be enforced for everyone's comfort. Visting friends will have to leave by 10pm.
